Training Mornings for Beginners

For first time paddlers and those new to the sport, San Stefanos Bay (above) is an ideal training ground. It boasts two kilometres of golden sand, calm, sheltered, very shallow (waist deep) water, and a sea temperature of typically 24 degrees. Your BC qualified coach will keep you safe while teaching you the basics and once he is happy with the group we'll paddle down to the far end of the bay to a small cove with a beach, where we can explore and swim in the clear turquoise water before a relaxed paddle back and a chance to practice your new strokes.

We recommend two mornings. Part two would cover rescues, practising your new skills and developing them whilst incorporating a trip along the bay. An assessment is then made with a view to a possible move on to the day trips - Tour Two is specifically designed for this level. Other trips can be planned to cover your new level of paddling experience while of course including having fun swimming, snorkelling and just chilling out in the wonderful natural surroundings.
